At St John's Infants' School we want all children to enjoy books. This page will be used to keep you informed of all the things we are doing to develop the life-long love of reading. Coming soon, our new library.

Book Swap
There are two ways to become involved: |
|
1. Bring a book and exchange it for another book from the 'book swap' collection.
2. Purchase a book from the collection.
The collection includes adult as well as children's books. |
The book swap is on every Friday morning from 8.35 until the bell.
Each book is given a token value (1or 2).
Tokens are worth 10p each.

Readathon
From September 2007 all children in the school will be taking part in a Readathon.
For every 25 books they read they will be awarded a certificate.
The aim is to read as many books as possible.
The books can be school readers, library books, comics as well as old favourites from their own collection. |
